U.S. Secretary of state Rex Tillerson stated the need to discuss the position of NATO in Eastern Europe due to Russian aggression in Ukraine. He stated that before the meeting of foreign Ministers of NATO countries in Brussels, according to i24News, reports “Ukrainian truth”.
“We want the debate around the position of NATO in Europe, mostly in Eastern Europe in response to Russian aggression in Ukraine and other places,” said Tillerson.
Such a statement indicates a more rigid attitude of the US administration to the Kremlin.
Earlier, the President of the United States Donald trump stated that he would like closer relations with Russia. However, he did not deny the fact of annexation of the Crimea.
Rex Tillerson, in turn, had previously stated that the US is ready to work with Russia, but Moscow must fulfil its obligations under the Minsk agreements.
Earlier , foreign Minister of Lithuania Linas Linkevičius said that today there is no Ukrainian crisis, and there are Russian aggression against Ukraine.
