Washington no longer focuses on the question of the removal of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad from power.
This was stated by permanent representative to the UN, Nikki Haley, reports Reuters.
According to her, in the White house while the “can’t focus on Assad, as did the previous administration”.
“Our priority is to really look at how we solve problems and with whom we must cooperate to truly change the situation of people in Syria,” she said.
As you know, Western countries do not recognize Assad as the legitimate President and demand his resignation.
Note that in January Turkey’s changed stance on the resignation of Assad, and today, the U.S. state Department called Ankara’s main ally against ISIS.
