The Helsinki district court has fined a Finnish billionaire Ilmari Antti Aarnio-Wihuri 77 808 Euro per nepropusk pedestrian. It is reported by “Motor” with reference to the Ilta-Sanomat.
Finnish businessman in the past quite actively participated in the race. He has won several Finnish competition and participated in the race “1000 kilometres of Nurburgring” in the 1960s. Acted Aarnio-Wihuri on the Porsche
The incident occurred on March 5, 2016. The businessman, whose fortune is estimated at about 1.7 billion euros, missed the pedestrian, despite the fact that the surrounding cars stopped in front of the transition.
In result of incident nobody has suffered, and the offender later told police that he didn’t have time to slow down.
Side Aarnio-Wihuri challenged the court decision and stated that the amount should be lower. However, the court still ordered him to pay the fine within 12 days. The amount of the fine is considered to be a record for such an offence.
Aarnio-Wihuri heads the company, which is engaged in wholesale and technical trade, as well as working in the field of aviation industry.
