The cadence of the sixth convocation of the State Duma ended in 2016, and Denis Voronenkov nominated in single-mandate district in the Nizhny Novgorod region. However, for the second time in the Parliament, the politician was not hit.

As a member of the Communist faction, Boronenkov denounced “anti-Russian moods” in Ukraine.
