Rada adopted the law on the Ukrainian cultural Fund

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted the bill No. 5491 of the Ukrainian cultural Fund. For a decision voted 236 deputies, reports “112 Ukraine”.

The law defines legal, organizational, financial framework of the Ukrainian cultural Fund.

The purpose of the Fund is to promote the development of culture and arts of Ukraine, ensure favorable conditions for the development of intellectual and spiritual potential of the individual and society, broad access of citizens to national cultural heritage, support cultural diversity and integration of Ukrainian culture into the global cultural space.

According to the law, the Ukrainian cultural Fund is a budgetary institution that performs under this law special functions to promote national-cultural development of Ukraine.

The activities of the Ukrainian cultural Fund and sent koordiniruyutsya Central Executive body which provides forming and implements the state policy in the spheres of culture and arts.

The management bodies of the Ukrainian cultural Fund are the Supervisory Board and the Management.

Chairman of the Foundation may be appointed person who is a specialist in the field of culture, has an impeccable business reputation and high social prestige, fluent in the state language, speak foreign language, which is one of the official languages of the Council of Europe.
