The decision on the award of the mayor of Lviv Andriy Sadovy suspicions will be taken by the investigator reiterates Prosecutor General Yury Lutsenko.
“As for Mr Garden, I can say the following: I never ever said that he’ll definitely get a suspicion and will surely be dismissed. At the same time, Mr. Garden is waiting for just such a message,” – said Lutsenko.
He added that the decision about who will receive such a suspicion, will make a investigator.
“To remove all the fears that circulate the mayor of the city, I made the decision that the investigation be transferred to another area, which will ensure objective and impartial investigation of this case,” – said the Prosecutor General.
Lutsenko added that the municipal enterprise of Lviv city Council “Syrenka” for many years wrote letters to the head of the city, just as it was done by social activists, the need for funding of rehabilitation work. “At the same time all these letters were hiding in the table,” he said, adding that any reaction to them was not followed.
Lutsenko reminded that as a result of a fire at the garbage landfill near Lviv killed 4 people, and it should be followed by criminal liability, as the management of the municipal enterprise “Syrenka” and involved employees of the Lviv city Council.
As reported, Sadove said on Monday about their assumptions that the regional Prosecutor’s office until March 21 to present him with suspicion, after which he can dismiss in court. However, he announced plans to hire lawyers and defend their rights in court.
