Information about the active involvement of Ukraine to the international court cases, PrivatBank initiated against the Russian Federation, is false. About it reports a press-service of the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine.
The direction claims for damages are “Private” from the loss of the banking business and assets as a result of illegal annexation of Crimea.
“This information is untrue. The state of Ukraine is not involved in the case on claim of PJSC CB “PrivatBank” and JSC “Financial company “Vinylon” against the Russian Federation”, – informs the Ministry of Finance.
The office recalls that the statement of claim was initiated because of a violation of rights under the Agreement between the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and the government of the Russian Federation on encouragement and mutual protection of investments of November 27, 1998.
We will remind, earlier the arbitration court of the Hague acknowledged that Russia is responsible for violating the rights of investors in the occupied Crimea.
