Deputy foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov said that relations between Russia and the United States deteriorated long before the Ukrainian crisis, and the initiator of this was ex-US President Barack Obama and his entourage. This he said in the state Duma, speaking at a round table “Russian-American relations: realities and prospects”, reports RIA Novosti-Ukraine.
In his view, the current relations between Moscow and Washington are at the lowest point since the cold war.
“The current state of relations between Russia and the United States, as we all know, to put it mildly, leaves much to be desired. It is no exaggeration to say that our relations today are in fact at the lowest point since the cold war. Barack Obama and his entourage began to unfold to tension and then for a confrontation with us long before the Ukrainian crisis,”- said Ryabkov.
He believes that the US went to an open confrontation with Moscow after the Maidan in Kiev, taking up a position to deter Russia, thereby allegedly limiting the dialogue between the two countries.
Earlier media reported about the change of the position in Russia with arrival of the new adviser to trump. Herbert McMaster has established a number of important issues, the tone is starkly different from the one that was used by his predecessor Michael Flynn. He spoke in defense of world order that was established after the Second world war.
In turn he is the President of the United States Donald trump blamed the media that a publication about the ties of his administration interfere with Russia to improve relations between the two countries.
