Industrial production in Ukraine in January 2017 increased compared to the same month of the previous year by 5.6% compared with 4.5% in December to 3.7% in November and 0.8% in October. According to the State statistics service (gosstat).
The Ministry said that, with the correction for the effect of calendar days in the industrial production in January 2017 January 2016 increased by 5.2%, which is also higher than in December and 4.8% in November and 2.3% in October to 1.6%.
The state statistics service show that compared to the previous month in January of this year, industrial production declined by 17.5%, and taking into account the seasonal factor – by 1.5%.
According to the report of the statistical office, in the Luhansk region, industrial production in January 2017 in comparison with January – 2016 increased 1.3 times, and in Donetsk region – by 5.3%.
As for the other areas, in January 2017, a positive result in the industry recorded in the areas of:
- Zhytomyr (42,7%);
- Vinnytsia (26,2%);
- Odessa (24,5%);
- Kirovohrad (21,4%);
- Volyn (13.7 per cent);
- Ternopil (13,2%);
- Ivano-Frankivsk (10%);
- Kharkiv (7,4%);
- Zaporizhia (7.2 per cent);
- Kyiv (4,5%);
- Lviv (4,2%);
- Kherson and Khmelnytskyi (3,5%);
- Chernivtsi (3,3%);
- Dnipropetrovsk (2,5%);
- and in Kiev (of 9.6%).
As reported, industrial production in Ukraine in 2016 rose 2.4% after around four years of decline: in 2015, it decreased by 13%, in 2014 – by 10.1%, in 2013 – 4.3%, in 2012 – 0.7 percent.
