Ukraine sharply increased imports of gas

In January-April 2017 Ukraine increased imports of natural gas is 64.7% (1 billion 870,8 million cubic meters) compared with the same period of 2016 – up to 4 billion 762.6 million cubic meters this is evidenced by PJSC “Ukrtransgaz”.

In particular, from Slovakia in January-April-2017 it was imported 3 billion 949,5 million cubic meters, Hungary – 391,7 million cubic meters, Poland – 421,4 million cubic meters In April-2017 imports amounted to 539,9 million cubic meters of gas, which is 2.2 times more than in April of last year (245 million cubic meters).

Ukraine does not import natural gas under the contract with Russian “Gazprom” from November 26, 2015.

In 2016 Ukraine reduced imports of natural gas by 32.7% (5 billion 375,6 million cubic meters) compared to 2015 year – on-year to 11 billion of 78.4 million cubic meters.
