The former head of the electoral headquarters of the trump responded to accusations of ties with the secret services of the Russian Federation

The former head of the electoral headquarters of Donald trump by Paul Manafort insists that he never met and did not engage in any contact with agents of Russian security services. He said this in comments to the Financial Times.

The newspaper reminds that Paul Manafort was removed from the campaign of the candidate-the Republican for his questionable ties with the Pro-Russian former President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych. He told the British newspaper that the FBI never questioned him because of possible Russian relations.

“I never had anything to do with Putin or the Russian government. Moreover, I never knowingly spoke with officers of the Russian special services, and never participate in projects that involve the Russian government or the Putin administration, with the parties, which would act in cooperation or on behalf of the government of Russia”, – stressed Manafort.

Earlier edition of the New York Times reported that members of the team of U.S. President Donald trump, who took part in the election campaign repeatedly contacted by the Russian security services.
