Chinese President XI Jinping during a telephone conversation with U.S. President Donald trump has expressed willingness to cooperate with Washington in trade and investment, he also commended the commitment of the U.S. policy of one China, according to China Central television, reports RIA Novosti.
“A good Sino-us relations conforms to the fundamental interests of the peoples of the two countries… We are ready to work with the U.S. side to strengthen mutually beneficial cooperation in trade, investment, energy, infrastructure construction, and strengthen contacts and coordination on regional and international issues to jointly maintain international peace and stability,” said XI.
According to the message channel, trump stressed that to fully understand the extreme importance of the “one China policy” and assured that the US government will firmly stick to it. The Chinese President in turn said that attaches great importance to the statement of trump, who stressed that the U.S. government will adhere to “one China policy”, adding that this principle is the political Foundation of Sino-us relations.
