In Poland put into circulation a banknote with a nominal value of PLN 500

In Poland, 10 February the appeal was part of a new banknote of 500 zlotys, reports “Polish Radio”.

According to the representative of the National Bank of Poland Barbara Jaroszek, the new bill is 4% more than the banknote of 200 PLN, however, looks almost the same as other major Polish banknotes. On the banknote depicts Polish king Jan III Sobieski.

Note that according to the former Chairman of the National Bank of Poland Marek Belka, the introduction of high denomination banknotes is essential to reduce the cost of maintaining strategic reserve of the Bank.

Through the issuance of bills of higher denomination Bank will be able to save about 10 million euros annually.
