Ukroboronprom through subsidiaries buys Russian engines for military equipment through Moldovan firms. Moldovan company bought the plant “KAMAZ” 20 engines, this company has imported these engines in Moldova on two trucks. The company that imported the engines is a Moldovan-Ukrainian company. After a few days these engines it was resold to another company — “Autoprezent”, another Moldovan company resells third, the German companies and the German has brought these engines to the Ukraine. This scheme, which involved four economic agent.
According to information, not to buy the engines directly from Russia, a subsidiary of Ukroboronprom “Ukrinmash” conducted the purchase of 20 engines for the Ukrainian BTR-80 through Moldovan firms-intermediaries. Ukrainian defense group paid for the engine for 15 thousand dollars per unit. In Moldova these components for machinery was ready to sell not more than 10 thousand euros, which is cheaper by almost 5 thousand that paid a subsidiary of Ukroboronprom intermediaries.
Through the founders of the Moldavian firm APROTEHPRO connected with the brothers Babenko within the inner circle of ex-people’s Deputy of the Batkivshchyna Alexander Oak. According to media reports, a significant impact on the work of the Ukroboronprom has the people’s Deputy Sergey Pashinsky, head of the parliamentary Committee on national security and defence. Oak said that the supply of engines is not relevant.
