Groysman urged international partners to help Ukraine to create a “Marshall plan”

Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman urged international partners to help Ukraine create a plan for the reconstruction of the country, such a “Marshall plan” program to help Western Europe rebuild after world war II.

Speaking at the conference “Encouragement and direction: the Reboot of the Ukrainian reforms” in Brussels on Thursday, Prime Minister noted that in 2014, the EU and donors have offered Ukraine a “Marshall Plan” and planned to hold in February 2015, the donor conference has also been the preparation of a recovery plan for Ukraine. However, the planned conference never took place and were not accepted right decisions.

This “Marshall Plan”, which we can create, together, together we could speed up transformation, accelerate changes in Ukraine, to restore the sector, which today suffered”, – said the head of Ukrainian government.

According to Groisman, the sectors of the economy, which was negatively impacted by Russian aggression, should be rebuilt and refocused very quickly.
