Freeland reminded the Secretary of state about the invasion of Russia to Ukraine

The Minister of foreign Affairs of Canada Chrystia Freeland during a meeting with U.S. Secretary of state Rex Tillerson reminded of the invasion of Russia in Ukraine, which threatens the world order, reports UKRINFORM.

She noted that Canada will continue to support Ukraine in the confrontation of Russian aggression.

“As always, I noted the strong support of Canada and Ukraine have expressed our views that the invasion of Crimea and its annexation is illegal and threaten the international order. We discussed it,” said Freeland.

He noted that he had also raised the issue of the escalation of the situation in the Donbass, in particular in the area of Avdeevka.

“Long enough, we discussed the intensification of the fighting in the Donbas near Avdeevka. As for me, it was a very good substantive discussion”, – said the Minister of foreign Affairs of Canada.

As previously described, the permanent representative of Ukraine to the United Nations Volodymyr Yelchenko, the United States fully supports the territorial integrity of Ukraine and condemn the aggression of the Kremlin against Kiev.
