The Egyptian authorities have decided to introduce electronic entry visas

Egyptian authorities intend to review the legislative framework of all institutions involved in the tourism sector, and to bring it into line with international standards of the tourism industry. This was stated by President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi at the first meeting of the Higher Council for tourism, reports TASS.

At the meeting, in particular, considered the issue of “development of mechanisms for the use of electronic entry visas to Egypt”, and also suggested to determine the possibility of accession of Egypt to a policy of open skies with the goal of “incentive flights in the country’s private airlines.” In addition, it was recommended to pay special attention to the spread of religious and medical tourism.

Suggestions on entry documents must be submitted to the head of state until may of this year, and the rest a month later.
