Iran has discovered new oil reserves at 15 billion barrels

Iran has discovered new oil reserves in the amount of 15 billion barrels, of which 2 billion barrels is recoverable, the report said the National Iranian oil company (NIOC).

In addition, Iran will increase gas reserves by 1.8 trillion cubic meters, about half of which is recoverable are listed in the release words of the managing Director of NIOC Ali Cardura (Ali Kardor). He also noted that the use of these reserves requires huge investment and modern technology.

Carder also said that Iran has until April to reach a capacity of crude oil production of about four million barrels per day. After the lifting of sanctions in January 2016 oil production at the level of slightly more than 2 million barrels a day.

Iran a year ago got rid of the majority imposed on the country of sanctions, when the IAEA presented a report confirming the readiness of the authorities to implement it through long negotiations the program for a significant reduction of its nuclear potential. Later, the EU and the US confirmed the removal of Iran from the economic and financial sanctions related to its nuclear program.

The country after the lifting of restrictions aims to increase oil exports, trying to regain the lost because of the sanctions market share.
