Became known the approximate cost of tickets for semi-finals and finals of the Eurovision song contest, which will be held in the capital’s international exhibition center from 9 to 13 may.
According to Deputy head of the National public broadcasting company of Ukraine on holding of the competition Pavel Gritsak, the tickets will have to pay 40 Euro (1200 UAH) to 200 euros (5800 UAH), in sale they will appear later this month.
“There will be 9 events (6 dress rehearsals, two semi-finals and finals. — Ed.) that will sell tickets. The expected sales revenues are more than 60 million UAH, which is 30 million more than was planned last year,” said Hrytsak in an interview. According to him, the Ukrainian side is negotiating with the European broadcasting Union about the possibility of lowering ticket prices due to low purchasing power of Ukrainians. Besides, today officially starts the booking of packages of hotel accommodation for foreign guests of the competition, delegations and journalists.
Last year in Stockholm the prices of Eurovision was about the same level. In the semi-finals of the show could get behind 32-140 Euro (depending on room in the hall) and the tickets for the final cost 53-280 euros. In the distant 2005, when the contest was first held in Kiev for a visit to the final had to pay from 12 to 250 euros (at the exchange rate 6 UAH per Euro ticket price ranged from 75 to 1500 UAH).
