The United States fully supports the territorial integrity of Ukraine and condemn the aggression of the Kremlin against Kiev. This was stated by the permanent representative of Ukraine to the United Nations Volodymyr Yelchenko after meeting with U.S. representative to the Organization, Nikki Haley, reports “RIA Novosti”.
According to him, the us diplomat expressed support of Ukraine in countering Russian aggression.
“She confirmed the basic points of US policy towards Ukraine: they fully support the territorial integrity of the country and they are completely opposed, as Russia comes from the Eastern part of Ukraine,” — said Yelchenko.
Speaking about a possible visit of the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko in the United States and meeting his us counterpart Donald trump, he said, “I know that my colleagues in Washington working on it, but I can’t confirm anything”.
However, according to him, there is a possibility that the head of state will attend the debates of the UN Security Council on February 21 by conflicts in Europe.
“But it is not yet decided,” — said Yelchenko.
Earlier, Poroshenko, answering the question of how it relates to the position of President of the United States Donald trump to cancel anti-Russian sanctions, said that most of all wants it, but the conditions must be met.
