French President Francois Hollande in the first telephone conversation with US President Donald trump has said it is ready to continue action against terrorists in Iraq and Syria, said on Saturday, the Elysee Palace, RIA Novosti reported.
“The fight against terrorism remains a priority for France, as well as the USA. The President of the Republic stressed their determination to continue action in Iraq and Syria,” — said in a communique.
Hollande also said that the Syrian conflict can be resolved only through a political process under the auspices of the UN. “No other solution is neither sustainable nor credible,” said the French President.
