Real wages in Ukraine in December rose more than 10% – state statistics service

Real wages in Ukraine in December 2016 was higher than December, 2015 is 11.6%. This is stated in the report of the State statistics service of Ukraine.

Thus, compared to November 2016, in December of last year, real wages increased by 18.6%.

The average nominal wage full-time employee in Ukraine in December 2016 rose 19.8% compared with November and amounted to UAH 6 475.

Note that this value is 4 times higher than the level of the minimum wage in Ukraine, which in December 2016 was 1 600 UAH.

In the state statistics service said that compared with Dec 2015, Dec 2016, average nominal wages grew by 23.8%.

The highest average wages in December were recorded in air transport – 27,3 thousand UAH, the manufacture of pharmaceutical products – 12.8 thousand, financial, insurance and telecommunications – for 11 thousand UAH.

The lowest level of average wages in December were recorded in the areas of postal and courier activities – by 3.4 thousand UAH, and nutrition – 4,2 thousand UAH.

Recall that the average wage of regular workers in Ukraine in 2015, up 30% and the real fell by 10% compared to 2014.
