In Ukraine will reduce prices for 89 drugs from the list of drugs that the Ministry of health of Ukraine set the limit wholesale prices. About it reports a press-service of the Ministry.
The government has set maximum wholesale markup on the sale of such drugs to 5% inclusive of all taxes and charges and maximum retail markup on the sale of drugs is 15%, including all taxes and fees.
“From 1 February, the sale of medicines in pharmaceutical institutions of higher marginal prices based on maximum allowances (wholesale and retail) and VAT will be impossible. VAT on medicines and medical devices will decrease to 2-5%,” – said in the Ministry.
The list includes medicines used for people suffering from the three groups of diseases:
- cardiovascular (65% of total mortality in Ukraine);
- diabetes mellitus of the second type (hurts 1 million Ukrainians);
- bronchial asthma (significantly affects the quality of life for 210 thousand patients of working age).
In MOZ clarify that the reference prices for medicines in Ukraine are set depending on prices of similar drugs in five neighboring countries – Poland, Slovakia, Hungary, the Czech Republic and Latvia.
