By the end of 2016 the growth of Ukraine’s GDP amounted to 1.8%. This was stated by Deputy Finance Minister Oksana Markarova during the workshop dedicated to the development of investment and export potential of regions of Ukraine.
“The 1.8% growth last year and 3% growth we projected for 2017,” – said the politologist. As you know, in the third quarter of 2016, the GDP grew by 2%.
Markarova said that the main priorities for 2017 for the Ukrainian economy are investment and exports.
We will remind, earlier the Cabinet of Ministers published the plan of prioritetov until 2020.
The document particularly says that economic growth should be achieved by increasing exports and investment, tax and customs reform, deregulation, land reform, privatization, reforming the energy sector and maintaining macroeconomic stability through continued fiscal consolidation. It needs to provide new jobs, higher wages and poverty reduction.
As noted by Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine Stepan Kubiv, eto means that Ukraine has changed the model of economic development.
