The Kremlin has reacted to the scandalous closure of the “Roshen” in Russia

Stop OAO “Lipetsk confectionery factory “Roshen” is a sovereign decision of the shareholders of the company. This was stated by Dmitry Peskov, press Secretary of the President of Russia Vladimir Putin.

According to Peskov, “the company can continue to” work.

“This decision of the owners. You know that the work was carried out (in the framework of the criminal case – ed.) and that the President made statements relative to this… in Fact, the company could continue, but if the shareholders adopt such decision is their sovereign decision”, – said Peskov.

In “Roshen” the decision to close the Russian factory explained the economic and political reasons.

The reason for this was the sharp drop in range after the unjustified ban by Rospotrebnadzor in 2013, imports of Ukrainian Roshen products to the Russian Federation, and active discrediting the activities of the factory in Russian and Ukrainian media, and the pressure of the authorities in some regions on trade organizations due to sales of products of the Lipetsk confectionery factory, and diminished overall purchasing power of the population”, – declare in “Roshen”.

“I can only say one word: “Get”, – quotes the Lipetsk site GOROD48 words of the General Director of the Lipetsk factory “Roshen” Oleg Kazakov.

As previously reported, the seizure of the Lipetsk confectionery factory, imposed by the Investigating Committee (IC) of the Russian Federation in the framework of the criminal case, made the sale of the factory impossible.

It is known that the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko promised to sell the Corporation “Roshen” immediately after the inauguration of the President, but this did not happen. At this momoent Roshen transmitted by the President in a “blind trust”. The fact that the company was not sold, Poroshenko explained the lack of customers.
