Negotiations with the IMF are not easy – Rozenko

Ukraine was very close to getting the next tranche from the IMF as soon as agree with creditors the Memorandum of understanding. This was Avil Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine Pavlo Rozenko, reports “Observer”.

“Now we are in active negotiations and discussion. As soon as the agreed text of the Memorandum, it will be possible immediately to say that Ukraine is very seriously close to getting a tranche. To date, Ukraine has fulfilled those things that were recorded in previous memorandums”, he said.

According to the Vice Prime Minister, the negotiation process is quite difficult, because the Ukrainian side continues to insist on his vision of the situation.

We will remind, before mass media reported that the IMF has put forward Ukraine seven new requirements, including raising the retirement age. Besides, on the website of the Ministry of social policy of Ukraine appeared the announcement of the “shocking” of the pension reform. Soon, the publication disappeared from the site.

Rozenko has assured that the current government will not make any moves to raise the retirement age.
