According to the Association “Ukrautoprom”, the primary market of used motor vehicles in December showed record-high result – 5 603 thousand units, accounting for 39% of total initial registrations in Ukraine. The increase relative to December 2015 amounted to 55 percent.
Most rapidly grew the market for imported second-hand in the passenger car segment – December the result 4170 PCs three times exceeded the last year’s Dec.
Since the beginning of the year in the primary automotive market was 30 thousand 713 sales of used cars, which is almost at the level of the outcome of 2015 (down less than one percent). However, the types have been changed – there has been a shift towards passenger cars.
For the year 2016 in the segment of passenger cars were registered 17 417 thousand units, which is 22% more than last year’s result. Moreover, a significant growth since September. The most popular cars of European origin – Renault (3 626 PCs.), Volkswagen (3183 PCs.), Skoda (1790 units), Opel (1 585 PCs), Mercedes-Benz (923 units).
Commercial vehicles, preowned, has covered 61% of the primary market this type of technology for 2016 reported 12 866 units, which is 19% lower than a year earlier. Leader brands: Renault (2871 PCs), Mercedes-Benz (2 061 PCs.), Volkswagen (2010 PCs), Daf (1 223 pieces), Opel (835 units).
In the primary market of used buses were registered 430 units, which is 55% less than in 2015. The leader in this segment, Mercedes-Benz, buses of this brand took 57% of the market – 245 PCs In second place Volkswagen (28 pieces), then Man and Neoplan (27 PCs.).
