“ASD remains a model of inefficiency, corruption and abuse. There are many questions about controllability of ASD. … So we are changing the management of ASD, what will be the first step in a large-scale reform of the Maritime industry”, – said the Minister of infrastructure Vladimir Omelian.

The Minister said that the appropriate changes were announced them in early December 2016.

“Perhaps that is what prompted the leadership that we are now changing to award themselves bonuses for December in the amount of from 700 thousand to 1.5 million per person. And this is the only official award. One can only imagine the extent of the abuse,” – said the Minister.

Omeljan stressed that the change of management of ASD – one of the stages of reformation of Maritime industry. “The reform envisages the establishment of a Maritime administration that will take over all tasks of ASD. Also will be a substantial optimization of the structure and personnel of the enterprise. The number one issue – the change of leadership, reform and parallel with this corporatization, as required by Ukrainian legislation,” – said Omeljan.
