On the official website of President of Ukraine registered the e-petition, which called on Poroshenko to set the percentage of the Ukrainian language in print media at least 50%, reports UNN. The author of the petition made by Igor Shapovalov.
“I propose to adopt the law on support of the Ukrainian language in print media. To set the percentage of the Ukrainian language at least 50 percent. Unpleasantly surprised by the number of Russian-speaking media at kiosks, train stations… even in Central and Western Ukraine. The impression that Ukrainians in Ukraine as national minority”, – stated in the text of the petition No. 22/032323-EP.
The petition was registered 4 January 2017 and gathered signatures while 23 of the 25 thousand needed. For the purpose of signing the petition, stayed 89 days.
