The Ukrainians plan to require an audit of their apartments

Before Parliament is a draft law “On energy performance of buildings”. The document must be make before the end of this year, but the vote was postponed to 2017. According to the law, every Ukrainian at its own expense, must conduct an energy audit of their homes.

According to experts, quality made energy audits in apartment buildings can do 9.5 – 13 thousand hryvnias. The cost of the study depends on the area of the house and of the hardware used by the auditor. The quality of the energy audit is a very important aspect, for example, if you have made all the calculations on the possible activities that you can participate in municipal grant programs, such as “70/30,” to apply to the Bank for the loan, for energy modernization, or implement their own energy auditor proposed a plan to insulation.

The approximate cost of the energy audit for the buildings:
• up to 100 apartments – 9.5 thousand UAH
• up to 300 apartments – 12 thousand hryvnia
• up to 350 apartments – 13 thousand hryvnias

In addition to energy audits, individual buildings will have to issue a certificate of energy efficiency: new buildings, buildings that are rented for at least a year, and common areas with an area of 250 square meters. The certificate is valid for 10 years provided, if the building is not insulated. Those who will not receive a certificate, you will have to pay a fine of from 3400 to 5100 UAH. “The law shall enter into force on the day following the day of its publication, and shall be enforced from 1 January 2017”, – stated in the bill.

As explained by the Chairman of the parliamentary Committee on construction, urban development and housing Alyona Babak, energy audit of buildings – diagnosis, which you must obtain before you can insulate the building. “When we go to the doctor, we want to before treatment was diagnosed.
