For the 2019 fixed 116,000 facts of drunk driving
In 29 years of independence of Ukraine 174 095 people were killed in accidents, more than 1 264 000 were injured. This was stated by the Deputy Minister of internal Affairs of Ukraine Anton Gerashchenko.
“This year, before starting the system auto-commit I asked you to count how many Ukrainians died in an accident in 29 years of independence. Since 1991 and until March 2019, 174 095 people were killed in 29 years in an accident and injured – 1 264 000”, – he told on air “Freedom of speech Savik Shuster” on TV channel “Ukraine is 24”.
Gerashchenko said that in 2019 116 000 recorded facts of drunk driving, of which the courts shut down 16 000 protocols of the patrol police, so they were not punished drivers through tightened terms of consideration of cases in courts.
Recall, according to the Patrol police of Ukraine, last year in road accidents killed 3454 man.
We were also told that in the Ukraine was more road accidenthas considerably increased the number of dead and wounded. The total number of accidents increased by 20.13% compared to the year 2019.
