The presidential bill also proposes to increase fines for violations related to the military service
In Ukraine, you may receive a new kind of military service – the military conscription of the reservists in the special period. The corresponding bill No. 3553 submitted to the Parliament President Vladimir Zelensky, who recently said that the Ukrainian army has always counted on the support of reservists.
According to the explanatory Memorandum, the bill requires:
- creation on the basis of military commissariats of the respective territorial centers of completing and social support;
- improvement of the procedure for the military registration of recruits, draftees, including the introduction of the military registration of reservists, the definition of bodies of its management, and their powers;
- clarifying the mechanism of filling a Single state register of recruits, conscripts and reservists;
- the introduction of a new kind of military service – military service at the call of the reservists in the special period, the order of organization and holding, provision to encourage individuals employment, educational guarantees, guarantees of social and legal protection;
- improvement of the grounds of administrative and criminal liability for violation of legislation about defence, military duty and military service, mobilization training and mobilization.
Spring conscription: when and who will take to serve
The presidential bill also proposes to increase fines for violations related to the military service.
So, if the bill is passed, the penalty for violation of the military account will be 510-850 UAH of a penalty (currently, according to media reports, 85-119 UAH), a second violation will cost 850-1700 UAH (currently, according to media reports, 170-255 UAH).
Penalties for violation of mobilization training will rise to 1700-3400 hryvnia for ordinary citizens and to 3400-5100 UAH for officials, and at repeated infringement from 3400 to 5100 from 5100 to 8500 UAH, respectively.
For deliberate damage or loss of military registration documents will levy a fine from 510 to 850 UAH, and at repeated occasions: from 850 to 1700 UAH.
