Lebedev is suspected of involvement in serious crimes on the Maidan

The Pechersky district court of Kiev elected in absentia preventive measure wanted SBU ex-defense Minister Pavel Lebedev the preventive punishment in the form of detention. We are talking about criminal proceedings on the facts of the number of grave and especially grave crimes, including murders, committed in the period from 18-20 February 2014 on the Maidan, according to the attorney General’s Office.

The court in absentia arrested former Minister of defense, who appears in the criminal proceedings for the investigation of the organization of the former President of Ukraine of abuse of power and official authority by law enforcement officials. They are also investigating the abuse of power a number of former senior officials with the aim of preventing protests on the Maidan, which led to mass casualties among protesters, including premeditated murder and attempted premeditated murder (bodily injury associated with the use of law enforcement firearms) of the Maidan protesters and terrorist act.

The Prosecutor General’s office began an ex-Minister of defense

Note that the Prosecutor did not name any suspects, but as of February 2014, the Minister of defence was Pavel Lebedev.
