President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko adopted on Thursday a report from Prime Minister Sergei Rumas, BelTA has learned.
The head of state first asked about the outcome of the economy over the four months of the current year. “The first quarter we have analysed. April, of course, in certain circumstances, and very serious for our export oriented economy, was not easy. So I would like a first approximation to see the results of these four months and the main trends that first of all we have our doubts,” said the President.
Alexander Lukashenko also inquired about the situation in the sphere of public debt. “What situation, what we see, how we are going to pay off the debts?” — he indicated a question.
“The third issue is the IMF. I instructed the government primarily to address these issues. Well, other international banking organisations that are not against us to Fund at this time, including health care,” said the President.
Alexander Lukashenko also drew attention to another important practical issue is the price supplied to Belarus the Russian natural gas. “Yesterday I received information that Russia sells natural gas in Europe in this difficult period, to $ 70: 65-68 dollars, but not $ 127 to Belorussii. What is the situation and environment, what we can expect in the future? I have this question focused on video conferencing in the framework of the EAEU, and in the near future we will be in the same format conference. I would like to know that to date undertaken to reduce natural gas prices for Belarus, the President said. — Well this is not the case, I’m not talking about the 75th anniversary (of the Victory in the great Patriotic war. — approx. BelTA) Germany to sell natural gas to $ 70, as I have information (everything was), but not $ 127, like Belarus.”
