The President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko and U.S. President Donald trump on Thursday, 21 September, are meeting in new York.
“We very much hope that we will receive from the United States of America support in such a difficult time for Ukraine,” said Poroshenko at the meeting with trump.
The President of Ukraine noted that Ukraine hopes for support in the issue of deployment of peacekeeping mission, as well as in economic reforms.

“I really believe our cooperation in the security sector and defense… and cooperation on economic issues,” – said Poroshenko.
Also in his microblog on Twitter President of Ukraine wrote: “however, trump said that the United States and Ukraine have strengthened economic cooperation and cooperation in the field of security since our last meeting.”

In turn, trump noted that currently, American companies come to Ukraine. In addition, he spoke about the consequences of the hurricane “Irma” for the United States.
As reported, the journalists tried to ask questions to the two presidents, but they were not allowed to do it.
