President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko called on UN Secretary-General, antónio Guterres within his authority to send to Ukraine a technical assessment mission.
“Let me reiterate an invitation to the Secretary-General to exercise their powers in accordance with the Charter and send to Ukraine a technical assessment mission. Based on the analysis of the mission should develop and present options for a political UN presence in the field of safety and security in the Donbas for further consideration by the security Council”, – said Poroshenko, speaking at a meeting of the UN security Council on Wednesday in new York.
According to the head of state in Ukraine is expected that “the mission is to analyze and evaluate the overall situation on the ground.”
