The visit of U.S. Secretary of defense James Mattis for the celebration of Independence Day can mean serious agreements with the Ukrainian leadership, up to the provision of lethal weapons. This opinion was expressed on air of Radio Liberty, former Minister of foreign Affairs Boris Tarasyuk.
“This is a signal to the Kremlin, as far as Washington is serious about militarily in Ukraine, especially in the context of the Russian-Ukrainian war,” – said Tarasyuk.

He also noted that during his stay in Kiev, the head of the Pentagon may give the green light for the supply of lethal weapons Ukraine.
“I think this visit will affect further serious agreements between Ukraine and the United States for military cooperation. Do not rule out that this may be the reason for ads on supplying Ukraine with lethal defensive weapons,” – said the diplomat.
