The Russian foreign Ministry invited the Ambassador of Germany in Ukraine, Ernst Reichel “not to give advice Donbass” about the election. This is the official speaker of the foreign Ministry of Russia Maria Zakharova said at a briefing in Moscow.
“You had a question on Donbass on the statement of the German Ambassador. We respect our colleagues in the “channel format”, but we have a clear understanding of what electoral processes and elections directly should not happen by the will of private sponsors and individual participants of the “Normandy format”, – said Zakharov.
According to her, this process should be correlated with the Minsk agreements and be agreed in the framework of the trilateral contact group.
Zakharov said that this issue should be resolved by “representatives of Donbass” with “representatives of Kiev”.
“Individual councils should not replace existing institutions and mechanisms for the resolution of issues concerning the election. Moreover, should not become the team’s valuable guidance,” said Zakharov.
“I would like to hear more tips to Kiev, how to communicate with his people,” she said.
As reported, Reichel suggested that elections in the occupied part of the Donbass can be held in the presence of the Russian army. All, he said, will depend on the conditions under which these elections will be held.
Reichel and has repeatedly stated that the elections in the Donbass, under certain conditions, can be carried out to establish Ukraine’s control over the occupied territories.
