The European Union expects that after the introduction of a visa-free regime of Ukraine will continue to demonstrate progress in the fight against corruption. This was stated by the head of the press and information Department of the EU delegation in Ukraine Jurgis, Vilcinskas.
The European diplomat stressed that the introduction of a visa-free regime for Ukrainians was a great achievement.
“The country was not only bezviz, but given the fact that many reforms that have led Ukraine to bezveze was also made. And, of course, for many of us anti-corruption reform in the sector is also important and we, the European Union, too, we expect that there will be any steps backwards, that will only progress,” said Vilcinskas.

Speaking about the trends of the first month after the abolition of visa requirements, the diplomat said that the result of the improvement of human contacts between Ukrainians and Europeans will be increasingly positive.
In turn, the official representative of the Department of consular service of the MFA of Ukraine Vasily Kirilich said: “we Have every reason to say that one of the four freedoms of the European Union – free movement, free movement of persons, people, is open for Ukrainians, and citizens of Ukraine willing to use this freedom”.
At the same time, the diplomat reported that the number of complaints of Ukrainians to the Consulate abroad for the month of the visa-free regime with the EU has increased insignificantly.
