The President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko welcomes the extension by the EU Council of economic sanctions against Russia. The President wrote in his microblog on Twitter.
“I welcome the EU Council decision on the extension of economic sanctions against Russia until 31 January 2018,” – said Poroshenko.
In comments on the extension of sanctions against Russia the President of Ukraine also noted that “solidarity with Ukraine is growing, the price of aggression and neo-Imperial ambitions grow.”

As it became known today, June 28, the Council of the European Union approved the decision to extend for another six months economic sanctions against Russia for non-compliance with the Minsk agreements. The EU sanctions, therefore extended until 31 January 2018.
Earlier it was reported that European Union leaders agreed to extend economic sanctions against Russia.
The President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko, in turn, called the decision to extend the sanctions fair.
