Ukraine needs to develop export of electricity and to sell electricity abroad, which will contribute to the development of the economy and ensure energy independence. This was stated by Prime Minister Vladimir Groysman, reports “Economic truth”.
“Our goal as a country to be an exporter of electricity. We need to sell made in Ukraine electric power and get a in the Ukraine and more currency, which will positively affect the economy of our state”, – he stressed.
In this context, the development of nuclear energy is of key importance, said Groisman.
Groisman noted that the need to revise the program of development of nuclear power until 2040. However, there is a task for the medium term development of the industry, which needs to be solved within 5 years.
“We want to become energy independent country,” – said the Prime Minister.
Earlier it was reported that Groysman announced the reduction of electricity prices for production.
