The healthiest country in the world called Italy. That rating was published Bloomberg Global Health Index.
In second place in the ranking was Iceland, and the third – Switzerland. While Ukraine was not included even in the TOP 50 healthiest countries in the world, reports “New time”.
According to Bloomberg Analytics, in Italy in the newborn is most likely to live to 80 years. Here, according to new data, it is easier and more likely to live to a ripe old age.
The rankings the experts were based on various data on 163 countries and took into account such indicators as life expectancy, causes of death and various health risks, including high blood pressure, obesity, poor diet and lack of clean water.
“Despite the fact that Italy is among the most developed countries, the level of youth unemployment in Italy at the moment has reached to 38.8%, and it is one of the highest in Europe. However, the Italians are in better shape than the Americans, the Canadians and the Brits who suffer from high blood pressure and cholesterol and demonstrate a deterioration of their mental health,” the report reads.
The leading position of Italy in the ranking of the healthiest countries in the world experts associated with the excess of doctors in the country, as well as a diet rich in vegetables, olive oil, and access to fresh produce, fruit, lean meats and fish.
