A shark attacked a woman near the beach San Onofre State Beach in California, reports the Orange County Register newspaper.
The incident occurred in the County of San Diego at the surf spot. The woman was swimming with fins when she was attacked by a shark.
The shark bit the woman’s thigh, said the Minister state Park, Travis Lara. Two surfers pulled the victim ashore and provided first aid. Its further fate is not reported.
Lara also added that the beach will be closed. According to him, the last time near the beach several times noticed sharks, but this is the first case of an attack.
Earlier it was reported that in Australia, a 17-year-old girl died in hospital from wounds sustained in an attack by sharks while riding on the Board.
