The truce in the Donbass does not depend on the change of format of negotiations, and he is the unwillingness of Russia to fulfill obligations. This was stated in comments to NewsOne TV channel MP Anna hopko.
According to her, the extension of the “channel format” will not affect the situation in the Donbass.
“It’s not about formats, but lack of political will, namely, on the part of Russia that is reluctant to perform even the first key points of the Minsk agreements on the ceasefire. We see the support of the United States, Canada, the UK and understand that Russia does not want to see anyone else in the extended format of the “Normandy four,” said hopko, adding that the Russian side is not interested in increasing the international presence in the Donbas.
He explained that the need for real change of the situation in the East of Ukraine.
“The key is not the format change, and the effective use of tools, to put the squeeze on the Kremlin and force to fulfil its obligations”, – said the MP.
We will remind, yesterday the heads of the countries “Norman four” held a telephone conversation, during which the main topic was the situation in the Donbas. So, the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko noted that the alternative implementation of the Minsk agreements, both in terms of the security and political aspects of the settlement.
