Buried alive: the mountain of garbage covered 40 houses in Sri Lanka, people died

The collapse of a mountain of garbage in dwellings in Sri Lanka resulted in the deaths of at least six people, reported on Friday the Indian media. In particular, among the dead are three children. Another 10 people were injured.

According to the media, due to prolonged rains the mountain of garbage at the dump started to shift in the direction of the houses. In the future, the waste caught fire and collapsed at home. According to the latest data, under the rubble were 40 buildings.

“The search of those who survived the accident is ongoing,” lead media excerpts from the statements of local police.
