Kamenskaya “Steel” was defined with the new coach. They became the 57-year-old Belarusian specialist Leonid Kuchuk, who succeeded Jacob Gaul.
Leonid Kuchuk was born 27 August 1959 in Minsk. His entire playing career was spent in Belarus, where the defender played for such clubs as “torpedo” (Minsk), “Dinamo” (Minsk), “Gomselmash” (Gomel), KIM (Vitebsk), FK Molodechno, “Attack Aura” (Minsk), “Dinamo-93” (Minsk).
After a career of Kuchuk worked as a coach at KIM, then head coach of the “Dinamo-93” FC Molodechno. In 2003 he was appointed senior coach of “Locomotive”. From 2004 to 2010 headed the Moldavian “the Sheriff”, which became a six-time champion of Moldova, a three-time winner of the Cup of the country.
Ukrainian football fans Kucuk remembered, first of all, working in Kiev “the Arsenal” (2011-2012), where the Belarusian specialist immediately led the team to European competition.
In January 2013 Leonid Kuchuk headed the Krasnodar “Kuban”, leading the team to 5th place of the championship of Russia first in the history of the club, qualifying for European competitions. However, at the end of the season parties are unable to agree on a new contract and soon the Belarusian specialist was officially introduced as the head coach of the Moscow “Locomotive”. At the end of season 2013/14 Lokomotiv finished in 3rd place, becoming the bronze prize-winner of superiority of Russia for the first time since 2006. However, at the end of 2014 path of “Locomotive” and Kuchuk parted and Leonid Kuchuk again became the head coach “Kuban” came together to Krasnodar to the Russian Cup final, after which the contract was terminated by mutual consent of the parties.
