Almost all students who pass this year’s EIT is already registered and preparing for the assessment. Some prepared yourself, others with Tutors, and others visited the training centres or courses. “Today” asked the Tutors and coaches as the applicant to prepare in the remaining time.
TIME MANAGEMENT. First of all, you need to create a training plan with a weekly supply for repetition.
“This is very important because otherwise the fear that the student will not have time something to learn, — says the teacher of Ukrainian language and literature from Kiev Juliana Fedoseyev. — To make it easy: the topic should be split into the number of days before the assessment, releasing a week before the surrender to repetition. In addition, for each discipline you need to take some time to study lasted for a whole day. It can be 1.5 hours a day for the Ukrainian, 45 minutes for biology, etc. Can be split up even more — besides time, another half an hour in the evening. It is important to save time and to exceed own schedule. Then the student is happy with themselves and will be able to find the time for force majeure: a headache, you need something more urgent to do, etc.”.
Topics are divided by day and time, leaving backlash to repeat.
Teacher of physics from Kharkov Irina Chuiko added: better if you recall the lesson will be any gadget. “The easiest way for the evening to set my cell phone reminder the next day and given breaks to eat and go to the next discipline,” says Irina.
SAMODISCIPLINA. In addition to planning, it is very important to sleep. “We all remember the phrase “sleep information” or “sleep on it”, — says Deputy head of the Department of the Institute of physiology. Bogomolets, doctor of biological Sciences, Professor Nana Voitenko. — When preparing for exams it is important to give knowledge “to digest” in the head, so a student should sleep at least 7-9 hours. It can be not only night’s sleep, but also up to 30 min or up to 1.5 hours of daytime sleep. At this time there is consolidation of memory: the received data is stored, analyzed and structured in relation to previously obtained information.”
THE VIRTUAL “I” AND INFORMATION ON THE KNOWLEDGE MAP
The next step is to put knowledge in your head so that they were kept as long as possible. This can be achieved in several ways.
“The wards I advise you to develop visual memory: to make notes, drawings, record information in thesis, write the formulas, explains the physics tutor Andrei Saveliev. It is important to do then to quickly and efficiently run through the studied material, nothing missing”. And master of psychology, NLP trainer Alexander Struchaev sure that the best option for such storage and memorization of information — MindMap.
“It’s a way to remember information quickly and securely with the help of mind maps, explains Alexander. You can draw your own on a sheet of paper or create in a computer program (examples are easy to find online). There should be a designated topic, a thesis submitted basic information, formulas, drawings or photos, examples, exceptions, etc. So easier to remember: it is issued a MindMap, already learned the material.” The advantages of this method is confirmed by the tutor in biology from the Association of Tutors of Ukraine Svetlana Fomina.
“Even better material kicks in, if it’s to tell someone his scheme, — says Svetlana Borisovna. — If the interlocutor all is clear, so you understand okay”
BLOGGING. The members of the Association of Tutors of Ukraine told about the new trend that master guys, preparing for EIT — student blogging.
“Several of my students write study material on video and “teach” in social networks, says geography teacher of the Dnieper Denis Gordienko. — It helps them to not just memorize material, but to shrink it to such an extent that everything was brief and matter of fact, and potential classmates it was not boring to hear this. One student went to the auditions in full swing, he even answers the questions of his spectators, and the other is at the start. I’m sure that even if they have experience blogerska will not be able to see a well compiled video is easier than to re-read again or watch the notes. Besides, in the preparation of material for the movie they have an incentive to do all the quality to become popular in social networks and even earn. I think these video blogs are useful in all subjects.”
WHAT TO EXPECT AT VNO-2017
The Ukrainian center for educational quality assessment said: contrary to expectations, this kind of speech activity as speech understanding by hearing (listening) foreign language on set will be. “Held testing of duplex subject tests in foreign languages. Their results revealed that there is a need to adjust the difficulty of test items and other matters. But reading and writing will be checked without fail”, — reported in the uceqa.
VNO-2016 IN THE GENERAL QUEUE. An innovation this year will be that universities will accept the test results of 2017 and 2016. “The procedure for admission of applicants who have passed the EIT in 2016, there will be nothing different from how they would do the dealer mcqs in 2017, — explains the head of the Department of information and communication of the Ukrainian center of evaluation of quality of information Tatiana Leskova. — Those who already have the certificate and know your scores, wait until coming in this year will pass testing and receive their certificates, and then will be eligible for admission to higher education during entrance campaign with them.
