Russia is trying to destabilize the situation and to increase their influence in Serbia and the Balkan countries. This was stated by the head of the European Parliament Committee on foreign Affairs David McAllister in an interview with German newspaper Welt.
“Moscow is trying to exert a strong influence on the media, some politicians and civil society of the Republic. Russia is conducting in Serbia deliberate destabilization. This gives us cause for great concern. At the same time, Serbia sees Russia as one of its supporters,” said McAllister.
