The third racket of Ukraine lost to the fifth racket of the USA

Ukrainian tennis player Kateryna Bondarenko failed to qualify to the second round of the WTA Premier Apia International Sydney in Sydney (Australia).

In the opening match Bondarenko in a bitter struggle lost to American Christina McHale with Chet 6:4, 5:7, 2:6. The match lasted 2 hours and 25 minutes.

In the WTA rankings Kateryna Bondarenko occupies 68-e a place, and Christina McHale – 43-E.
