Ekonomichna Pravda (Ukraine): Ukrainian industry continues to fall

In June 2020, industrial production declined by 5.6 percent compared to June 2019. This reads the data from the State statistics service.

In June, industrial production grew by 4.1 percent compared to may 2020. For the first half of 2020, the decline in industrial production is 8.3 percent.

In particular, in the processing industry in the period, the production decreased by 9.6 percent compared to January-June of 2019, in the mining industry and quarrying by 6.3 percent.

For the 6 months of 2020 in Ukraine was produced 10,29 million tons of coal (22.6% less than in the same period of 2019), 842 thousand tons of crude oil (0.6 percent less), 374,7 thousands. tons of gas condensate (4.2% more) of 9.71 billion cubic meters of natural gas (3.7% less), 25,29 million tonnes of agglomerated iron ores and concentrates (5.6 percent less).

Also for January-June 2020 was made 560,6 thousand cubic meters of ceramic brick (27.7 per cent less than for the corresponding period in 2019), of 4.02 million tonnes of cement (by 3.2 percent), of 9.96 million tons of iron (2.7% less), 4.81 million tonnes of flat semi-finished products of non-alloy steel (0.5 percent less).

Of electricity in January-June 2020 was produced by 11.4 percent less than the same period last year — 70,15 billion kilowatt-hours.
